While I was visiting Hanoi I was spellbound by the artworks of a Vietnamese chief Phan Thu Trang that in a withdraw combines the freshness of Impressionism and word-of-mouth accepted Vietnamese imagery.

Eager to discover more about that artist, I ventured to the Mai Gathering in the centre of Hanoi, where attendant artworks have an exclusive representation.

The Mai Gathering representatives welcomed me; and as they walked me through the four floors of artworks of different artists, I asked them very many questions about the artist’s biography and creative way of painting.
